General
We are vly [flaɪ], the inventors of these milk and yoghurt alternatives made from pea protein. You have no idea what we are talking about? Then you can get to know us better here . Until then, in short: We are actually developers who stand in our own laboratory every day and do research with plant proteins. So far, this has resulted in a number of products that taste super delicious and are full of nutrients. These include four milk alternatives, three to-go drinks and three yoghurt alternatives .
You have two options. If you want to walk through shelves and push your shopping cart yourself, the best thing to do is to go to the supermarket. In Germany you can find us at Rewe, Edeka, Rossmann, Globus, Kaufland, (Atempause) , Hit, Combi, Budni and Famila . In Austria at Billa Plus . If you're the type of person who prefers to order their groceries at home or just doesn't feel like lugging crates of milk alternatives up the stairs, you can also order online :

Switzerland: siradis.ch and mrvegan.ch
Pro tip : You can easily help us get to the shelves of your favorite supermarket. Here 's how.
The first country in which we launched our products is not exactly known for its meat-free consumption. We are based in the capital, which in turn is known for many things, including complicated coffee orders. So we come from Berlin. There was us first. Our products are now also available in the rest of Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland . At this point: Thanks to our great sales team.
Our yellow split peas are grown and processed in France. The pea protein then comes to Germany, to be more precise to North Rhine-Westphalia, where our products are produced in a dairy. Here you can read more about how we milk our peas.
We actually wanted to link you to a detailed article about the manufacture of our products. That is how sustainable they are. Unfortunately it doesn't exist yet. But there will be. And then you will find him here. So much in advance: The yellow split peas, from which our pea protein is obtained, binds nitrogen in the soil and protects the planet. We also pay attention to short supply chains and climate-neutral shipping.
Imagine if you had thought your whole life that milk was completely healthy. Then you would have decided against milk, let's say for climate and animal welfare, and now you're wondering where you're supposed to get the important nutrients from. Here it comes: With our products we combine good nutritional values and taste . Not only in milk alternatives, but also in to-go drinks and yoghurt alternatives. We have the pea protein to thank for this. You can read here why this is so great. Oh yes, you might also be interested in this: All of our products are free of allergens and contain no white sugar.
No. We can promise you that . We put a lot of time into the development of our products. This also includes the collection of data from consumer testing, sensory panels and much more... This way we can identify bad tastes that we may have already become blind to. We also have a machine (GC-MS) in the lab that can visualize flavor profiles. So we have the pea taste in mind, word of honour. In fact, our products taste rather neutral and are surprisingly creamy.
During a consumer test, we were once asked whether our products were lactose-free. Um yes they are. By nature even - we only make plant-based products. What might also interest you: Our products are all allergen-free, i.e. free from gluten, nuts and soy . Except for our hazelnut drink. Sorry to all people with nut allergies, but there are real nuts in there.
We just can't keep our hands off our products. Because as technology advances, so do we. So we're constantly doing consumer tests, using new technologies and fine-tuning our formula. That's why there are always new updates on the shelves. You can see which version you are holding in your hands on the top left of the back of the product.
Products & Ingredients
Hold on, or better yet, sit down. What comes next puts most of them off: Our products are mostly based on pea protein . So, now it's out. We get the protein from the yellow split peas, which have a lot to offer. You can learn more about them here . But don't worry, there is no trace of pea flavor in our products - we have made sure of that. You can read all the other ingredients on the product pages .
What you won't find in our products is white sugar. For this we have in some products z. B. sweetened with fermented rice, dates and persimmon juice concentrate. But don't worry, if you don't get any sugar in your bag, we also have something for you: the milk alternative vly unsweetened, the vly high protein and the yoghurt alternative vly natural - without sugar contain a whopping 0 grams of sugar .
no but yes You can also store our milk alternatives and to-go drinks unopened outside of the fridge , e.g. B. on your dessert table or on the couch. After opening, however, they really need to be cooled . Our yoghurt alternatives are different - they have no time to lose and want to go straight into the fridge.
All our milk alternatives make good foam. But if you want the best foam, you clearly need the vly Barista . There's a lot of research that goes into it. The result is a creamy, delicious, white milk alternative with a neutral taste - specially developed for coffee. By the way, here is even more good stuff about the barista.
Oh, you shouldn't froth the high protein, it's not made for coffee.
Glad you asked. We want our products to help cover important nutrients in your daily needs. That's why we added Calcium to our Barista, Unsweetened and Original. In addition to calcium, the High Protein even contains vitamin B1 and the new Barista and Unsweetened 3.1 provide you with iodine, selenium, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12.
Why? So that they do something good for you and your body and quite simply in the form of a glass of milk alternative or a smoothie with milk alternative. Always these long word alternatives... but you know how it is.
No, they are not . The reason for this is our pea protein. Along with all the great benefits, it also has a downside: there is no market for organic pea protein here yet. This is a problem because we absolutely want to stay local and keep transport routes short. The good news is that our peas fix nitrogen in the soil and therefore do not need mineral fertilizers. So we can tell you with a clear conscience that the difference between organic and non-organic is relatively small. We're working on something right now... Shall we update you? You are right, our milk alternatives are slightly more expensive than cow's milk and other plant-based alternatives. We also tell you why:
Actually, cow's milk is much more expensive than on the shelf . The fact that the price is so low is partly due to agricultural subsidies and partly to the reduced VAT of 7%. Animal products are still considered a staple food - unlike plant products, which are taxed at 19%.
The research and development that we put into our products is quite time-consuming - this is also reflected in the price.
Compared to other brands on the shelf, we are still very small and have higher production costs than the big companies. Support your local startup!
